Unit for LOO error

Thank you for the amazing uqlab software. Just to confirm my thoughts regards the unit for LOO error - is this in the unit for the response of the system or basically have no unit. for example while developing a model with PCE , I get an LOO = 0.004 and the response of my system in in kN does this mean that LOO = 0.004kN?

Hi @aokoro,

The error estimates of a metamodel provided by UQLab (validation error and cross-validation error, including the LOO one) are given as normalized values; they are, therefore, dimensionless.

For PCE, have a look at Section 1.4.3 pp. 8-10 of the PCE User Manual.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the clarification. Appreciated.

You’re welcome! :slightly_smiling_face:
